Bookstore Birdie

DSCN1182

As a book lover, I think I agree with this birdie that the local bookstore is a perfect place to hang out.  I spotted him as I was entering the bookstore and thought what a perfect perch to watch all the happy shoppers leave with their wonderful bags of books and a cup of coffee, while hoping someone is willing to share their chocolate chip cookie.  Recent additions to the nightstand are:

  • When Breath Becomes Air – Paul Kalanithi
  • Why Be Happy When You Could Be Normal? – Jeanette Winterson
  • Orphan X – Gregg Hurwitz
  • A Man Called Ove – Fredrik Backman
  • National Geographic Field Guide To Birds
  • Beatlebone – Kevin Barry
  • The Road to Little Dribbling – Bill Bryson
  • Even Dogs In The Wild – Ian Rankin

  1. Watch out! Maybe he’s hunting for a bookworm!

  2. Wise bird! Your booklist is interesting. Who wouldn’t want to take the road to Little Dribbling?

    1. I am still hoping to travel to Europe someday and visit Scotland, Ireland, England and France (the list is much longer, but I will stop there). I love reading and looking for new books to add to my overflowing collection of books.
