    I’ve never seen one of these before – lovely colour, very striking! I like the contrast with the flower.

      Thank you! I was able to take a couple photos before he made it clear that he was not like the bees and did not want to share the flower garden. At least with the camera in one hand, I was only swinging one arm in the air as he flew at me.

      Thank you! I’m not sure if they are new to the neighborhood or if this was just the first time I saw them, since I seem to be hanging out in the flower gardens more this summer.
