It feels like the backyard population has doubled this spring, but thankfully there is only one bat. The bat is tucked into a little opening in the cedar shakes above a window along the deck, which I walk by every day and where he spent last summer. I was hoping he was not planning on spending another summer here, but I watched him arrive during the day recently. I have been trying to determine if it is the two woodchucks living under the deck or the deer that are eating the lilies as soon as they appear.π

Thank you!π Iβm always a little nervous having that many animals around because of Gabby, but so far other than eating the lilies and birdseed, we havenβt had any problems with our backyard visitors.

Brief moments of spring mixed with cold and snow, but the backyard visitors do not seem to notice. Enjoy your last few days on the coast.π
