I’m going to blame my recent cold, a spell of vertigo, the weather and Harper’s decision to begin her days at 4:00 a.m. for a bout of exhaustion this week and a lack of desire to go wandering with my camera. I did manage to go out in the front yard with the camera on the one sunny day we had in the midst of a week of rain.
I cheated on my wildlife photography this week by using this adorable shot sent to me by my aunt of two baby doves that have been nesting and living on their patio.
I also cheated on my flower photography as I drove by many beautiful flowers throughout the week, but can only share a few flowers I captured while wandering through Costco.
Thankfully I had enough energy to browse through the latest book releases and begin a new detective series by James Lee Burke. I would have included a photo of the book cover of the Dave Robicheaux series that I’m reading, but I was too tired and decided to include this shot of the latest John Sandford novel which is another series I plan to read.
I would like to say that my normal photography habits will resume shortly, but with the kickoff of summer this weekend and Costco enticing me with refreshing frozen cocktails, I don’t know if I’ll leave the deck with my camera.
However you collected your photos, they are stunning as usual. 🙂
And I wouldn’t mind that little vodka shot in my freezer! 😀

Thank you!🙂 There are some weeks that The Week In Seven Photos is a challenge, but luckily this week it led me to the frozen martinis!😁

Thank you!🙂 I love discovering new items at Costco and there were a few of us that were excited to see the frozen martinis and they were quickly disappearing off the shelf. Between a spinning puppy and my vertigo, it still may be a day or two before I can try them.😁 Enjoy your weekend!🙂

Sometimes life gets in the way of doing exactly what you want to do. Never mind! Do what you can. Never heard of frozen cocktails. Are they refreshing?

I will be glad when my energy returns and the vertigo disappears so I can try these new frozen cocktails.🙂

You might not have traveled far, but you found plenty of colour! I hope Harper finds a more sociable schedule…
I also hope the sun shines, the books are a good read, and you don’t run out of freezer pops – enjoy your weekend!

Thank you!🙂 Harper and I are busy daily negotiating over our schedule, but so far she has been unwilling to compromise.😁 I’ve been looking for a new book series and with this series set in New Orleans and the detective living on a houseboat, it’s off to a great start. Enjoy your weekend!🙂
