It’s been six months since the first confirmed COVID-19 cases in Michigan
and after seeking remote places, some days the world
sounds very loud when I leave the parks for a walk down Main Street
or wake to the malfunctioning fire alarm blaring and the loudest howl you’ve ever heard.
Oh, that Harper! Yes, six months of hardships, but beautiful fall is still coming your way (and ours, too). Somehow, for me at least, that is a great comfort.

Thank you!๐พ๐ Obviously Iโm having a difficult time adjusting to all the changes because every time I go outside Iโm surprised to see the fall colors arriving.๐

Yes – Life will never be the same again! I think we’ll all freak out a bit when crowds are allowed once more!
I love the solitude of your photos – my types of places. ๐

Thank you!๐ I definitely donโt feel like life will ever be the same and obviously Iโve aged over these six months because I donโt remember Main Street having so much loud traffic and the sidewalks being so small.๐ With the kids back in school and the gyms reopened I thought it was a good time to try some of my old walks, but quickly decided that Harper and I need to return to our solitude.๐

Aw – I understand! ๐
I haven’t walked anywhere – except round the garden – in months! It will be weird when I do get out and about again. ๐

Beautiful photos. Harper doesn’t look to happy though.

Thank you and Harper would prefer that I drop my camera in the lake instead of taking her photo!๐พ๐

Oh, my, what a rude awakening! Why do the batteries always run low in the middle of the night and not at some other reasonable time of day??

Iโm sure I have at least a dozen new gray hairs after the other morning. Over the summer we replaced all our smoke alarms with the new lithium battery version, so it was complete panic until I realized it was a defective alarm and Harper quit howling. Harper always has me googling some new behavior and I had no idea dogs howled to sirens until one day she started howling with the tornado siren test.๐พ๐

Oh no, the noise! I don’t think some of us will ever adjust to bustle again. My area is heading into local lockdown yet again and I’m still hiding from society. Hope your alarm and Harper’s poor ears are fixed.

I could not believe all the traffic and noise yesterday and I would like to know where everyone is going!! We are still avoiding society except for necessities and have no plans on changing this new lifestyle for a long time. The only good thing is that there are finally less people at the parks.๐
