The Week In Seven Photos

Some days it can be an uphill struggle finding something to laugh about, but luckily Harper has been very entertaining

while wondering why we’ve been leaving the house by sunrise every day the last few weeks.

The wildlife have also been very suspicious about

why I was hiding out in the woods with them.

They understood once I told them the reason for my companionship

was a remodeling project, that was contracted in May and finally began this month, and that it’s best if I stay clear of home

since my supervisory skills do not appear to be appreciated by anyone.

  2. Aw It’s way too cold to be banished outside – but also very beautiful! 😀

  3. Remodeling projects are always stressful. I’m so not looking forward to that part and the mess, but can’t wait for the finished product!

  4. Late November and staying outside due to building work is not the same as May! Yikes! We’ve been in and out the past week because our neighbour had a leaky roof, and some rainwater got into our front room. Days and days with two industrial heater/dehumidifiers has dried things out. The drywall is ok, and the floor will survive, but we haven’t enjoyed the (very professional and helpful) visitors. I hope your work gets done quickly and efficiently, or that you get enough snow to build a winter shelter to wait it out!
    Stay warm!

    1. Ok, I absolutely do not like remodeling projects and now I’ve realized I dislike them even more than I knew, especially since I volunteered for my project and I don’t think my supervisory patience and understanding matched yours during a power outage, water damage and possibly more repairs. I hope it doesn’t require more steady visitors. This month has been exhausting!!! First the election, where now every time I see Joe Biden speak I could almost cry realizing the last four years were even worse than I thought. Then we had our first COVID quarantine of not leaving the house (taking all precautions even though they were both wearing masks) when my husband was around someone that became sick the next day, but thankfully they only had a cold and the mask worked. Of course, after waiting five months the contractors called and showed up the first day after the quarantine was over, but I’m happy to report that I’m celebrating that they finished today and this month is almost over!!!🍷🍷😁

  5. Lovely captures, esp. that curious deer in the snow – wonderfully iconic as we head into the 30 days of Christmas!
Renovations are nerve-wracking… I’d be getting out of Dodge, too! 😉

    1. Thank you!😁 I’m celebrating that the remodeling wrapped up today and I do believe someone may recommend I take a vacation during any other lengthy renovations.😁
