The challenge of relaxing. It’s been another stressful week and you know you’re in trouble when peaceful nature scenes can’t relax you. We usually head to the nature trails for relaxation, but Harper made it quite clear she wasn’t being left home. Well, with a 5k event going on and bikes and rollerbladers wizzing by, we felt like we were in the middle of a traffic jam on the paths. It got so bad we took a detour through the woods and then had to ask for directions to make sure we were heading in the right direction. My niece has since told Harper that she no longer gets a vote over the walking plans. I took over the lawn mowing duties recently and was very surprised to find myself relaxing while zipping around the yard on the tractor and thought this could be a new relaxation technique. WELL, I don’t know if you’ve seen this story, but after discovering a hawk could drop a snake on my arm while on my lawn tractor and then have the snake try to attack me as the hawk is trying to get his snake back that has wrapped itself around my arm, I’m not leaving the house this weekend and thankfully I have a batch of new books, preseason football and the Premier League to keep me busy.
