iPhone Journey – Day 42

β€œWe think time travels forward, marches on in a straight line, and so we hurry alongside it to keep up. Hurry, hurry, mustn’t fall behind. But it doesn’t, you see. Time just swirls around us. Everything is always present. The things we’ve done, the people we’ve loved, the people we’ve hurt, they’re all still here.”

  2. P.S. Didn’t realize the fourth book had been published until I read this post. Many thanks for mentioning it. Just requested the book through interlibrary loan.

  3. I deeply appreciate both the picture and the quote! I’ve been thinking how to write with love a hard post that involves, impactfully, the non-linearity of time as I experience it; I live in a time that runs like this, not the … other time, which I can’t quite (yet?) fathom.

  5. I love this photo! And, the words about time. I’ve wondered if the year 1979 or any other year is still actually occurring somewhere, somehow. Hi from Las Vegas…

    1. Thank you!πŸ™‚ Hope you’ve already enjoyed some blue skies (while it’s raining here) and there must be an alternate universe where we don’t have to leave the 70s or 80s.πŸ™‚

      1. You’re welcome! It was sunny and 88 when I landed today, love it! It rained for three days in Lapeer, then a tiny bit of sun then more rain. I am so glad that I decided to stay down here after the divorce. The gray sky up there makes me feel so tired and dreary but I have to go back up in a couple of weeks to help my sister again with our dad. He’s not doing well. 😭
