I’ve lived the majority of my life in the suburbs, but have loved the years spent visiting or living in cities. Now that the temperature has warmed up, I was finally able to use one of my Christmas coupon gifts from my niece for a “A Walk In The City Of Your Choice.” During the walk I told my niece that in the alternate universe I’m a city woman that gets around town by walking or biking to her favorite coffee house and

bookstore and attending open mic poetry events at the coffee house and staying up past 10:00pm.

My niece proceeded to let me know after a few blocks and dragging me out of a new favorite bookstore that she was ready to be back in the woods and that poor little Harper

would never survive living by railroad tracks.

I had such a wonderful day celebrating fabulous bookstores and a coffee house on every corner that I told my niece I would love more coupons for my birthday and she said that any future coupons would have a one store limit for bookstores and exclude standing by railroad tracks, poetry readings…
