Straight Out Of Time

Lilacs, rain, a hint of bitter chocolate: Stella sniffed the air as she entered the small shop, enjoying the soft golden light that enfolded her. A bell pealed, an old-fashioned sound that gave her the oddest feeling, as if she had stepped off the Paris sidewalk and straight out of time.

  1. We were with friends yesterday, at a pavement cafe (sun – hooray – no rain, and lilacs scheduled in a week or two) talking about Paris! They’d like to live in either Paris or New York for a year. Tough choice! For now, their home is Ucluelet, where we used to live back on the west coast of Vancouver Island – not so bad either…

    1. The Paris Novel set in the 80s definitely has me dreaming about Paris and fabulous restaurants and as the Rangers are losing right now, I think I would have to choose those fabulous walks on the beach with crashing waves and logs over New York.😎
