Watching classic cars cruising Woodward Avenue in preparation for the 29th Woodward Dream Cruise this Saturday, I was thankful for the generations prior to mine that are keeping the classic car culture alive and also feeling very thankful lately for growing up as a member of Generation X (born between 1965-1980). By the time I obtained my driverās license in the early ā80s, cars had lost much of their character and pizazz, as proof by the station wagon I first drove, but I wouldnāt change my generation with any other. Iām also very thankful we eventually made it home after a great evening of cruising and lobster rolls, since it appears cars with character and pizazz can also be very temperamental.
