Thankful Thursday

I’ve lost track of the days this week and while it already feels like September is going by too fast, there was time to stop and be thankful for simple joys. There were several glorious days of weather that kicked off hoodie and soup season and I’m thankful in advance for the weather forecast this weekend of temperatures in the 60s. It was wonderful to listen with my mom to some of her old favorite songs and laugh at my niece when she thought grandma was playing the music too loud. I’m grateful every day to celebrate my favorite month of the year whether it’s with pumpkin face sugar cookies, the neighbor’s last hibiscus of the season, great college football games, MLB pennant race or the kickoff of the NFL season tonight.

  1. Bring on September, cooler weather, and pumpkin cookies. I am sure you have read about how hot it is in Arizona. Makes me grateful to live in northern New England when I read about temps over 100 for three months.

    1. We have summer temperatures returning next week so I’m going to enjoy every cool second of this weekend! I would never survive living someplace that hot or with high humidity for months.πŸ™‚

  2. The Weather Channel shows some storms headed your way soon. It’s still summer here with temps over 100 for the next several days. Desert life!

      1. I hope it warms up a bit longer, I spoke with my sister today, she said the high was 60 or going to be 60. That’s Michigan flip flop weather.

    1. Don’t panic, we were in the 80s today and after our fall weather this weekend we will have summer temperatures in the mid 80s next week. The warm temperatures will make the month longer.😁
