The Week In Seven Photos

Between every day life and puppy patrol this week there was little time for photography, other than a photo of my first crocus blooming that was quickly covered by snow and many shots of Harper.

There have been several conversations about when we would add another dog to our family, but my niece helped accelerate the search due to her concern about me stalking dogs at the park, this is the adorable Emma Sue.

It was perfect timing to have Harper arrive on the same day my new Bryce Harper jersey was delivered and

she can now help me cheer the Washington Capitals or Toronto Maple Leafs on to the Stanley Cup Finals.  A fan of both teams and I would love to see either the Capitals win the Cup back-to-back or the Maple Leafs win their first Stanley Cup since 1967.

We are watching Harper’s lively personality develop every day between playtime and thankfully many naps.

There have been a few puppy toys purchased, but so far she prefers to chew on everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) else in the house, including me, my jerseys and camera.

My mother always said never wake a sleeping baby or dog and I’ve taken that advice to heart this week.

  1. So true about sleeping puppies. My God, don’t wake them up! What an adorable puppy face and body and everything.

    1. Thank you!🙂 It’s been amazing to watch how quickly she has adjusted to our home and how quickly we began quietly walking through the house in order to not wake Harper.😁

  2. A wonderful collection from your puppy patrol – Harper is a little delight, and I hope her naps are regular and long…but I doubt it!
I’d be very happy with the Capitals or Leafs in most years, but it is obvious that the Flames are going to win this year. There, I’ve said it – so that’s cleared the way for all the others!
    Have a great weekend!

    1. Thank you!🙂 It’s been a wonderful week with Harper and it does feel like her playtime lasts much longer than the naps. Our teams had a much better start to the playoffs compared to Tampa Bay after their great season. Hope your Flames make it to the Finals and have a chance to give one of my teams a little bit of a challenge.😁 Enjoy your weekend!🙂

  3. Aww, she’s a cutie, for sure. Hope there is something left to house by the time she grows up. 😉

    1. Thank you!🙂 I’ve definitely noticed she likes to chew some of my favorite things (books, iPhone, jerseys) if she has the chance, but there are some blinds I would love to replace that she’s completely ignored.😁

  4. So great to see the new and adorable Harper on the scene, ACI. I have missed Gabby, and am so happy for you to have found a new friend. Had to chuckle at your stalking the dogs and your niece’s advice. Wonderful photos, my friend, and cheers to you.

    1. Thank you!🙂 I love having little Harper in our home and am so glad we decided not to wait any longer (although, I probably will miss my dog stalking days a little😁). We’ve had a wonderful beginning to our friendship and I’m looking forward to the days when she can go outdoors and explore. Enjoy your weekend!🙂

My efforts to find a new dog have not been successful so far – and I totally get the stalking dogs in the park! 😀

    1. Thank you!🙂 It seemed that one day we were going to wait awhile and then after an afternoon with my niece the next thing I know is that Harper is joining our family.😁 It’s been nonstop smiles since we brought her home and she’s doing remarkable for her age. I hope you find a new dog very soon and in the meantime there’s nothing wrong with a little dog stalking, no matter what my niece says!🙂
