It’s that time of year in Michigan when you want to wake up with the birds and enjoy the lake and sunrise before the rest of the world awakes.

You can sing your favorite tunes from your summer playlist without scaring anyone other than the birds,

not worry about being without a fishing pole since they’re happy to just jump in your kayak at that time of day and

when the temperature exceeds your good summer vibes tolerance, you can happily kick back

in the cool comfort of the shade, indoors watching the FIFA Women’s World Cup or at a favorite bookstore.

It works out perfectly for this introvert to be out enjoying the world before the crowds and heat arrive with the company of favorite characters

in the family.

  1. What a fabulous lake photograph! Best part of the day, or at least on a par with sundown on a deck with a glass of something…
The World Cup has been exciting and controversial so far – and England still in!
    Have a great weekend!

    1. Thank you!πŸ™‚ I’ve enjoyed the World Cup games and after a great match and win today by the USA team over France and the fantastic goals by Rapinoe, I’m looking forward to the match on Tuesday against England. Although, it will be a little disappointing when they shutout England (just a little USA attitude, hopefully not controversial) and I don’t see David Beckham celebrating any goals in the stands.😁 Enjoy the weekend!πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you!πŸ™‚ We usually have a gradual change from winter to summer when everyone comes out of their house after a long winter, but with our rainy spring it seemed to happen over a day and now I can barely find a parking space at the parks and I’m treasuring the quiet mornings.πŸ™‚
